My Honda VTX

So here it is... 1800 cc's of solid muscle, and the bikes pretty big too ! As you can see from the abundant light and the fact that I was squinting to keep my eyes open for this picture. The Sun is shining in Vegas ... a g a i n ! Tell you something... I'm not going to miss this heat at all, I worked up a sweat in my riding gear, and all I was doing was sitting there !

Just a little about the Bike, its a Honda VTX 1800F, its all stock with the small exceptions of grade 2 chrome and the Sissy Bar... for those who are not familiar with what a Sissy Bar is, its the back rest on the rear seat, its actually just insurance for the Missus... gives her something to lean against and stops her from clinging to me or falling off when we ride ! Other than that, its got tribal markings on the Tank and is Silver... of course now I'm just filling space, because you can see that yourself.... right !

Garage Packing

The day after Thanksgiving is called "Black Friday", Its a name adopted by the Retail Chains describing the hoards of shoppers that flock to stores to start their Christmas shopping on what has become the biggest shopping day of the year. There was some competition offered up as the day after Christmas being the biggest shopping day, but since it turned out that that is in fact the biggest shopping "return" day of the year... there really ought to be a nomination for Boxing Day (December 26th) being called "Black ........." for the Retailers.
For Annmarie and I, shopping was traded for packing... this is the Garage that Hiroshima made... There is hope that order will take the place of this mess and with a week or so to go... and counting, there is still a glimmer of hope. There is however a little urgency involved with this sudden interest in boxes and the converting of disarray to usable space. Tomorrow marks the day that a very fine mode of transport is returned to the confines of the Price household. Warrick's Honda VTX comes home from her first service... believe it or not 600 miles on the clock and she needs to see the Mac. No problems though... she's a Honda and 600 is just like a well exam. I know what your thinking... if I had bought a Harley, I would be getting the engine replaced !

Thanksgiving Day 2006

As previously mentioned, Thanksgiving in America means Football, Food and Family... This year, Annmarie and I are enjoying two out of three of the above. As I write, the Dallas Cowboys are beating the Tamp Bay Buccaneers in the Texas Stadium. there is the smell of food preparation in the air, but instead of Turkey (The traditional dish in the States, this time of year) The dish being prepared in this household is Yorkshire Pudding filled with boiled Potato's, Rainbow Carrots and fried celery and onions with Dill. All smothered with thick Veggie gravy and a side helping of fake Chicken with Artichoke. In a nut shell..... its bloody marvelous.

Warrick and Annmarie get set to travel from Las Vegas to the East Coast

After 10 years in the Mojave Desert in the now sinless city of Las Vegas. Warrick and Annmarie Price together with Sweetie and La Poo... (two of the least able to fend for themselves Boston Terriers on the globe) prepare to cross America via gas guzzling SUV. Our home of 3 years has sold and for now we are taking shelter in the age restricted community of Sun City Anthem. Its winter, but anyone with an appreciation for the four seasons knows that winter in Las Vegas comes with all the chills of a Barbados Beach. Its a little over a week to go before December arrives and this Thursdays marks two important events in the American calender... firstly the Denver Bronco's face their division rivals in the form of the Kansas City Chiefs... and less importantly it'll be Thanksgiving... this is the annual celebration of the systematic murder of millions of Native Americans who were driven from their lands. this particular celebration is honored by slaughtering millions of defenseless birds... its quite poetic really, in a very sick way ! "We'll be watching the Game... but will skip the Turkey".
The Photo above is of our old house... its sale has led to our planned trip across the country.
